Lake Lanier Fishing Report – December 2010
Wow, can not believe another month has come and gone. Fishing on Lake Lanier is really pretty good right now. Water quality is very good therefore the fish can move all up and down the water column. A few big fish are showing up early on free lines and planer boards using trout and large gizzard shad. After the sun comes up we are catching most of our fish 55 feet deep in the creek channels. With each passing week the fish will get further and further up in the creeks. from what I have seen so far this winter, I belive fishing is going to be better than the last few years due to last years big shad kill. The fish are not on the very tiny threads like the y were the last two years. Overall, this is a great time of the year to get out on the lake. No pleasure boats to worry about on the lake. As the fish get further and further up in the creeks the chance of a big fish goes up and well. Hope to see you soon,
